Ivo has been fishing for over 43 years, fly-fishing for 25 and actively competing for 18 years.

His fishing experience covers North America, Europe, the Caribbean and New Zealand. As an instructor, Ivo has helped many with their first steps into fly fishing. He has also coached advanced anglers, including several National Champions of Canada and members of Canada's National Youth Team. Ivo himself has learned from some of the world's very best competition anglers from Spain, France, the Czech Republic and the UK.

Always curious to explore new techniques, Ivo started European nymphing in 2004, at a time when these techniques were virtually unknown in Canada and the USA. He introduced many others to these productive ways of fishing through organized classes and informal encounters on the water. Guided by a passion to improve and to help others, Ivo organized the first-ever master classes in Canada by top competition anglers from continental Europe, on a range of advanced techniques: dry fly, lake fishing, nymphing and more. This effort has contributed notably to the advancement of skill levels at Canada's competition scene in general and in particular to the performance of National Fly Fishing Teams at major tournaments like the WFFC and the CFFC.

Ivo has been an active competition organiser for many years: he is a co-founder of the Eastern Canadian Competitive Fly Fishing League. Ivo initiated the annual Mark Anderson Tournament which has grown into one of Canada's top competitive events.

As a competitor Ivo has been part of Canada's highest team successes at the international level: Canada's first team medals at major international competitions (the 2016 and 2018 CFFC) and the team's 8th spot at the 2022 WFFC in Spain. He holds many medals from NFFCs, provincial championships and other domestic competitions.

During his past terms as an FFC Board member, he has played an active role in the continuous improvement of the NRP system, competition rules and the selection criteria and process for national teams.

Colin Huff is 29 years old, been fly fishing before he could walk and competing for Fly Fishing Team Canada for 16 years.

He has competed in 5 World Fly Fishing Championships and 3 Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships. Colin is a 2 time Canadian Champion and Commonwealth Champion alongside being apart of Canada’s first team medals at major International Competitions (The 2016 and 2018 CFFC).

Colin has organized many competitions in Eastern Canada, played a significant roll in growing the Women’s National Championships and will be working hard to do the same in jump starting the Canadian Youth Team.

He looks forward to doing everything he can to contribute to Fly Fishing Canada alongside his fellow board members.

Introducing Clint Goyette, a committed Head Angling Guide and Entrepreneur with a passion for delivering exceptional service, expertise, and safety to his clients as a Professional Angling Guide.

Clint's academic journey includes earning a biology degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and undergoing specialized training in Fish and Wildlife Technology at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. He holds the prestigious title of Certified Fly Casting Instructor accredited by Fly Fishers International, along with extensive first aid qualifications encompassing Outdoor Emergency Care, Wilderness First Responder, and Swiftwater Rescue. Clint's boat handling skills and safety protocols have been officially endorsed by Transport Canada.

His remarkable qualifications have earned him the distinguished status of a Professional Angling Guide, recognized by the Canadian Human Tourism Resource Commission (CHTRC). Clint makes his home in Squamish, BC, alongside his wife, three children, and a cherished array of pets.

Beyond his guiding prowess, Clint boasts a competitive angling career dating back to 2005. He also serves as the vice chair of the Squamish and Lillooet Sportfish Advisory Board, holds a current board membership with the BC Fishing Tourism Association, and has previously served on the board of Tourism Squamish. Clint aspires to leverage his knowledge and expertise for the betterment of the FFC Board.

I have been a part of the Canadian Flyfishing Competition scene since 2004. As a competitor I have attended 15 of our 19 National Championships. I have competed in multiple Quebec Championships, as well as the Commonwealths in 2014 and the World Masters in 2023.

I am a past president of FFC 2013-2017. I have organised 4 National Fly-Fishing Championships, as well as the Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships held here in Tremblant in 2016. I am currently a member of Team Canada Masters.

I hope to continue to contribute to the growth of Canadian competitive fly fishing.

Kevin has been competitively fly fishing for fourteen years. This passion started by chance when he was invited to be a spare competitor for the North America’s Loch Stye Championship in 2012.Since then Kevin has attended the Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships in 2016 where his team the Kingfishers finished 3rd. He also has competed in several North American Loch Style Championships where in 2018 the Kingfishers won gold and Kevin an individual silver. He continues to compete regionally and in larger events when he can.

Kevin also is a coach for the youth program and recently coached Sam Breault one our new ladies who was named to the national team in 2023. This team went on to win a silver medal at the 2023 Ladies Worlds Fly Fishing Championships. He has been a member of the FFC Board of Directors since 2015 and has held the position of Board secretary.

Kevin lives in Cochrane Alberta with his wife Jill and enjoys spending time with his two young grandchildren.
